Just checking in after a long absence

Post by tasain » Tue Jul 02, 2013 9:18 pm

Haven't been in here in quite a few years, with a Ford Explorer, a WRX,and a Jeep Cherokee in between, but I have found myself back in a VW, so figured it was worth sticking my head into the room and saying hello.

Started checking in while searching for used VW's, and then just started cruising back through the older For Sale ads and came across the ad for a crashed 98 VR6

based on the red pinstripes added to the interior, the paint color and pin stripe on the engine cover and intake manifold and a few other small things, I am fairly certain that this is my old car. Was autocrossed by me at 1 CVO event and several Chicago SCCA events. Sad to see her end that way, but glad to see how many more miles were put on her.

Happened onto a 2004 Jetta sedan with the 1.8T and a manual trans with 26k original miles and just couldn't pass it up. So here I am. Officially sucked back in.
