You'd probably have better luck on the GolfMkV forums (it's the same platform as a MkV Jetta), but H&R sport springs and Bilstein struts is not a bad combo at all. Probably handles better than some of the cheaper coilovers out there.

Check out H&R swaybars. That's what I'll be running one day.

I've had many different coil overs in the past, and in my opinion they are not worth the $$$. People always talk about how they will raise the car for winter etc etc. No they set it and forget it. On top of that they are usually noisy and harsh, require constant up keep/ repairs.

Get a H&R Sport Cup kit and call it a day.

Had very expensive JIC FLTA2 coils on my old Nissans, even hard Ground Controls... rocked Bilstein PSS9 on my R32 (never will I buy another bilstein product) Also had Bilstein shocks on my old Passat which blew out within a year worth of driving (no warranty, bought them from a guy who never got them on the car, where new) and my Audi now has Bilsteins on it too....

I have installed many different suspension setups in the past and I will honestly say H&R or Koni are the way to go. My wifes GTi is on stock suspension at the moment but I plan on upgrading it to a Sport Cup kit when this so called winter is over and I go back to summer tires. My Passat is on Raceland coil overs and I am more impressed with the way it drives. I was getting fed up with "big name" companies like Bilstein making shit products.

Off topic but my friend bought a new EVO X MR few years ago and hes had 6 Bilstein shocks replaced over the course of 3 years by Mitsu under warranty. They where OEM on his EVO.
