Anyone running an aftermarket clutch in their 02Q?

Post by mp3dub » Mon Mar 04, 2013 10:05 am

I've done just about all the reading I can on the various options (South Bend/Clutchmasters/etc), just looking to see if anyone local has had to upgrade their clutch, and what opinions those people might have on what they've got installed.

I would go with South Bend clutch all the way. I had issues with clutch masters years ago. Also ACT used to make decent clutches but I have also had issues personally. Exedy has been solid in every car I've put. Exedy Sachs or South Bend would be my pick, I run the SB stage 2 race in my TDi.

We've done a handful of SB (the silent type single mass kits) on golf R's with good results.
