The awards are on Nov 22nd.All you need are good tires, just buy some Hoosier A6's and a jack.

There are a couple events left, and PCCA at Maywood, sometime in November. But I'm done for the year.

Different type of event, but I may head over to Byron on Sunday if the weather cooperates. My car with the heat range cooler spark plugs, Forge DV spike fix, and fresh oil was pulling in this 35 degree weather.

I may be going to GLD that day but not sure. Maybe Byron would be better.

Haha, come with! I'm trying to get Jake to go along as well. A few guys from my work are going as well as some guys from the Chicago Garage. For $25 it's not too bad, especially if it's really going to be 55ish degrees.

Do you need a helmet if you hit over 100mph? I'd like to see what I'd run.(maybe I should put the Azenis back on instead of the Kumho All-seasons) Modified by toneesvr6 at 3:47 PM 10/28/2008

Hahaha. I'm probably going to put on my AutoX setup as well because they didn't launch too bad when I was at the Miata club in Stg 2.

That's means you babied the launch at WCMC, at SCCA I babied the launch and still spun them through 2nd. A Diff is the only way around that or slicks.

How did you launch? I slip the hell out of the clutch. Plus there was a right turn into the figure 8 so I only got up to say 20mph. 30 tops.

Feathered the clutch till it grabbed for about 20ft, then put my foot into it. Otherwise I'd spin all the way thru 3rd like I do on the street. Modified by toneesvr6 at 6:14 PM 10/28/2008

And people wonder why I go to the Joliet events, 20-30mph? Through the back turnaround, infront and after it it's 55-70mph all the way!

Why do you kids keep calling Joliet high speed. It's low-medium speed. High speed would be Solo I.
