Yeah - but I am not really any further along than Bill right now. Just getting the fuel rail and hardware mounted.

I can recommend using tuner studio instead of megatune to access and program the thing. I will be running an external trigger wheel and LSx coils, but for a dry run on your IT car you will need to set it up to run off a hall sensor with a 4 window trigger wheel distributor. If you would like - I have an adapter that will bolt to the digifant air meter that lets you install a cone filter, but you can ditch all of that when you move it to the scirocco, so maybe not worth it for you.

There is an active and informed support community on the forums at megamanual.com.

Thanks Chris - I will check out that site. I don't know why but I thought Megasquirt was broadly in use.. perhaps not. I will post how it goes for me too. I am working on the harnesses and installing the Innovate wide band right now.

There is also a technical forum on the Vortex about carbs, SEM (stand alone engine management) and ITBs (individual throttle bodies). There are folks that know VW specific stuff very well there. The system is in broad use as SEMs go, but SEMs in general are pretty specialized, and just nut-job racers and a few fanatics use them.

If you need to rent our dyno to get everything sorted let us know. Be happy to tune it as well. Pretty familiar with most standalone systems, especially Megasquirt.
