The Car: 1983 Porsche 944 - 2.5L NA
The Project: Drive it again on the street/track
The Issues: Worn Ring & Pinion, clutch pedal stuck to floor, tach stopped working. Those are just the items I remember. But sitting for ages has surely created its own set of problems. I'm sure I cannot just drop a battery in and try to start it. Good news is no rust, no mice!
A Brief History: Bought from the original owner and drove with the Porsche Club (BlackHawk, RA) until it broke the bank, stored for the last 10 years. Brought home today.

Yay! Finally it sees the light of day! I dig the old plates... And another version of the plate describing the car. I will have to swing by after work one day and see it with my own two eyes.

The motor that comes in that car is quite peppy stock, I aspire to owning one of those someday. So how is your build coming? Or is that top secret? :)

Thanks all for the kind words. Yeah I never mentioned the car too much, I didn't want to hear from everyone "what you should do is" or "ooh, sell it to me".

Anyway today I gave it a quick wash, vacuumed, cleaned the glass and shot up the inside w/a 1/2 bottle of Fabreeze. Four hours later and the super strong musty smell is very much diminished. I even for just a moment caught a wiff of the what the interior used to smell like.

I also forgot this interesting fact, under the hood on the manufacturing plate it shows the car build date, etc. and build location: West Germany!
