First off, remove the light switch from the dashboard. This is fairly simple, grab the switch as you normally would and push in while turning to the right. You'll notice the center part of the switch will go in a little bit and stop in the middle of its normal movement. Pull the switch out of the dashboard and disconnect the wiring harness. Looking at the back of the switch, find the pin that is labeled TFL. Bend this pin all the way down. Plug the switch back into the harness, re-install it into the dash and test it out. Voila, no more DRL's

Callme grave digger but there's a better way where you dont have to BREAK the pin and can always go back to DRL's you do decide to sell...

Take one of these NEW plastic water bottles, they're supper thin now, well anyway, take some scissors and cut a THIN strip of plastic UHM.. about 1-2 inches long (I forgot how long it is but better to have extra than to need some) and about 1/8" wide, Fold it in half and slide it into the Female Portion of the Socket and that will prevent the peices from making contact. Enjoy.

Electrical tape will also do the trick.

The person that said relay has a MKV which I guess is different. See the original post for MKIV. Here's a picture to go with that post. Since its bent you can't see the "TFL", make sure you bend the right one! You can also just cover it with tape as I suggested above if you don't want to bend.
