HOW-TO: Change turbo inlet pipe on EJ25 WRX STi

Post by Weakness » Mon Oct 09, 2006 5:18 am

1. Purchase gasoline2. Pour said liquid within engine bay3. Aquire your favorite fire creating device4. Apply fire creating device to the above liquid5. Smile as the f0cker burns I will tell you right now, don't ever think you should change anything involving taking of the intake manifold and TGV system. What was to be a positive session of take apart and install of an APS Turbo Inlet Pipe on my STi on Saturday for better breating engine turned into a nightmare. Thanks to a crew of Suby guys in the local area, we got my b!tch back together OEM. It was 8+ hours on Sunday to get this crap back together without the APS inlet pipe.

First off, I will give APS a big Second, that has got to be the biggest pain in the ass install I have ever attempted in my life. I am fairly certain that doing timing chains on a VR6 is easier

I've heard bad things about that too, although I've never actually attempted said install.
